Firewall and security-service planning should include the vendor lifecycle. Renewal decisions made without checking End of Sale and End of Life dates can create short support periods or an urgent migration later.
End of Sale
End of Sale is the final date WatchGuard distribution partners can purchase a defined product directly from WatchGuard. Limited channel stock may remain after that date, but availability should not be assumed.
End of Life
End of Life is the conclusion of development and support for the defined product or service. Active support may continue between EOS and EOL according to the vendor policy and entitlement.
Migration path
WatchGuard publishes recommended replacement products or subscriptions for many lifecycle entries. A migration still requires sizing because the replacement may have different interfaces, performance and licensing.
Renewal timing
Review lifecycle before issuing a multi-year renewal or purchasing additional matching hardware. Vendor rules can limit subscription periods close to EOL, and services do not extend beyond the published end date.
